Recreational Classes

Gymnastics and tumbling are a fun way for children to increase flexibility, develop core motor skills and stay fit while teaching self-discipline, good sportsmanship and social interaction.   Elite Gymnastics and Aquatics offers several recreational classes to fit your child’s skill level.

Tumble Tots

  • 2.5 to 3 years old (must be potty-trained)
  • 50 minutes
  • 6:1 student to teacher ratio

This beginner level coed class will focus on social and gross motor skill development, following directions and patterns, and introduction to basic gymnastics skills including body positions, rolls, cartwheels, and walking on the beam.

Kinder Kids 1

  • 4 to 5 years old
  • 50 minutes
  • 7:1 student to teacher ratio

This beginner level coed class will focus on social and gross motor skill development, following directions and patterns, and introduction to basic gymnastics skills including body positions, rolls, cartwheels, and walking on the beam.

Fundamentals 1

  • 6 to 8 years old
  • 55 minutes
  • 8:1 student to teacher ratio

This beginner level class for girls focuses on strength, flexibility, and basic gymnastics terms. Students will work skills on all four apparatus including handstands, cartwheels, and pull overs.

Boy’s Fundamentals 1

  • 6 to 8 years old
  • 55 minutes
  • 8:1 student to teacher ratio

This beginner level class for boys  teaches gymnastics skills, including foundational skills to prepare them for men’s equipment. There in emphasis on strength and conditioning, but still lots of fun.

Senior Fundamentals I

  • 9 to 11 years old
  • 55 minutes
  • 8:1 student to teacher ratio

This beginner level class for girls focuses on strength, flexibility, and basic gymnastics terms. Students will work skills on all four apparatus including handstands, cartwheels, and pull overs.

Teen Gym
  • Ages 12 to 17 years
  • 55 minutes
  • 8:1 student to teacher ratio
This beginner to intermediate level class will focus on each student’s ability level to ensure that she is progressing at her own pace. Skills will be taught on Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor, and Tumble Track, as well as strength and flexibility exercises.
 
Beginner Tumbling
This beginner class is for students wanting to learn tumbling skills or to improve skills needed for cheer-leading or dance. Strength and proper progression are a major component of the class to ensure safety and correct technique.
 
Tumbling
  • Ages 9+

A class for cheerleaders and dancers focusing on the skills needed for competition. Strength and proper progressions are a major component of this class to ensure safety and correct technique.
